Lydall Transport, LTD Announces Expansion and Name Change to CrossGlobe Group

Lydall Transport, Ltd. announced today that it will begin transitioning its businesses to the CrossGlobe Group brand. For over 50 years Lydall Transport, Ltd. has provided fast, efficient, trusted transportation and services to producers of specialized products that require expert care and handling. As the CrossGlobe Group, the company will build on the reputation for service excellence that has enabled Lydall Transport to become the trusted partner of some of the largest companies in the world.

Along with our new name, CrossGlobe is announcing its new logo, which will be proudly displayed on its trucks, trailers, terminal facilities and warehouses.

Bill Franks, CEO of CrossGlobe, stated, “We desired to re-brand ourselves with a name that demonstrates our increased service portfolio, size and scale. All of our business units will be marketed under The CrossGlobe Group name. This change will serve as the unified brand under which we will continue to deliver total package solutions and satisfy our global customers’ needs in transportation, warehousing, and logistics. With our recent expansion into the Port of Savannah (Georgia), combined with our established and growing operations at the Port of Virginia, we are moving forward with our objective of establishing locations at every major East Coast port in the U.S. and in key geographic locations in North America.”

CrossGlobe is a portfolio company of Pine Creek Partners, a Washington, D.C. based private equity firm. George McCabe, managing partner of Pine Creek, said, “The Lydall Transport name has one of the highest levels of customer satisfaction in the trucking and warehouse industry. Although the company name and branding have changed, there has been no change in management, and CrossGlobe will be expanding on the same services on which Lydall Transport built its reputation in the industry.“

The CrossGlobe Group has begun the name transition and expects the change to take full effect on or before December 31, 2009. None of the company’s mailing addresses have changed and Lydall Transport’s website and emails will be transitioned to crossglobegroup.com. To aid in the transition, CrossGlobe will maintain and forward requests sent to lydalltransport.com to the correct email or webpage on crossglobegroup.com.
